- Info Edge's Q2 FY27 filing shows combined Jeevansathi and Aisle billings up 23.1% year on year: Jeevansathi +18.4%, Aisle +40.0%.
- Jeevansathi billings were about ₹40 crore with operating PBT of ₹2 crore; Aisle billings were ₹13 crore with operating PBT of ₹(3) crore.
- Consolidated revenue was ₹903.9 crore (+12.2%), and founder Sanjeev Bikhchandani replaces CEO Hitesh Oberoi from 3 December 2026.
Info Edge (India) Limited said in its Q2 FY27 exchange filing on 28 October 2026 that combined billings for Jeevansathi and Aisle grew 23.1% in the quarter to 30 September, and 21.7% across the first half. Jeevansathi billings rose 18.4% and Aisle billings 40.0%. These are billings, not revenue; revenue grew 16.5% and 35.1% respectively.
Matchmaking is small inside the group. Info Edge's segment datasheet shows Jeevansathi billings of ₹397 million against ₹8,223 million of total standalone segment billings. Aisle is a wholly owned subsidiary with a carrying value of ₹98 crore, according to the company's investments slide.
The DII Take
This is a good quarter, and the better news is at the incumbent. Jeevansathi is accelerating while staying profitable, and Aisle, by the company's account, is moving closer to breakeven from a small base. Neither moves the group, but matchmaking is behaving like a business with momentum rather than one being managed for decline.
Jeevansathi speeds up, Aisle edges towards breakeven
Jeevansathi billings reached ₹40 crore, up 18.4%, with operating PBT of ₹2 crore and cash from operations of ₹3 crore. Business Standard reported Q1 FY27 billings of ₹39.6 crore, about 14% growth, so the rate has picked up. The company says it is testing new paywalls and launching offerings built around value, convenience and affordability.
It also flagged high competitive intensity, with rivals launching new ad campaigns in the North. Jeevansathi held a 45%+ female profile share in Hindi-speaking markets. We have looked at Matrimony.com before; it reported Q2 billings of ₹131.09 crore, up 10.7%, in an unaudited update on 7 October. That is not a like-for-like comparison with full results.
Aisle billings rose 40.0% to ₹13 crore, with operating PBT of ₹(3) crore. The company says Aisle moved closer to breakeven and that female user growth was significantly higher than male growth, attributing the gains to better conversions and new value propositions.
Aisle billings rose 40.0% to ₹13 crore, with operating PBT of ₹(3) crore.
What to watch: a founder takes charge and profit flatters
Oberoi steps down at close of business on 2 December, after nearly 27 years. Bikhchandani becomes Executive Vice Chairman, Managing Director and Group CEO the next day, subject to shareholder approval. Oberoi said in the results release that "Matchmaking continued to grow well."
Treat the headline profit with care. Consolidated net profit rose about 87% to ₹649.8 crore, but other income was ₹4,284.43 million, and Inc42 reported it rose 164.8%. Standalone operating PBT, up 29.8%, is the better gauge. Watch whether Jeevansathi's paywall tests hold the growth rate into Q3.
- Info Edge reported Jeevansathi billings growth accelerating to 18.4% while remaining profitable at operating level, a stronger signal than Aisle's smaller-base 40.0%.
- Investors should separate Info Edge's 87% consolidated profit rise, which includes higher other income, from the 29.8% standalone operating PBT growth.
- Bikhchandani's appointment as Group CEO from 3 December is subject to shareholder approval; matchmaking strategy under him is not yet detailed.
