Editorial Standards
Dating Industry Insights (DII) is an independent B2B publication covering the global online dating, matchmaking, and social discovery industry. This page sets out how we source, verify, and disclose.
Independence
Editorial decisions are made by our newsroom. No advertiser, sponsor, listed company, or investor has approval rights over what we publish, when we publish it, or how a story is framed. Where a company covered in a story is also a commercial partner of DII or High Intent Media Inc, that relationship is disclosed in the article.
Sourcing and Verification
- Every factual claim is attributed to a named source, a primary document, filed accounts, a regulator, or on-the-record comment.
- Financials for listed companies are drawn from published filings and earnings releases; private-company figures are attributed to their source and dated.
- We contact companies and named individuals for comment before publishing anything critical, and we publish substantive responses in full.
- Regulatory and legal claims are checked against the underlying legislation, filings, or court records.
Language and Style
DII writes in British English. Headlines are analytical and direct. We label opinion and analysis separately from news reporting.
Use of AI in Production
We use large language models as research and drafting aids for parts of our workflow, including news summarisation, tagging, and structural editing. Every published article is reviewed by a human editor before it goes live. AI is not used to fabricate quotes, invent sources, or generate financial figures. Reports and investigations are researched and written by named journalists.
Images
Hero images are stock or licensed photography sourced through partners such as Pexels, plus original photography and, in limited cases, clearly labelled illustrations. We do not present AI-generated imagery as photographic evidence of events.
Anonymous Sources
We prefer named sources. Anonymity is granted only where a source would face professional or legal risk from being identified, where the information is materially in the public interest, and where the information can be corroborated. The reason for anonymity is explained in the article.
Corrections
Corrections are handled under our Corrections Policy. Substantive corrections are noted at the foot of the article with the date of the correction and a brief description of what changed.
Ownership and Funding
DII is published by High Intent Media Inc. Full ownership and revenue disclosure is set out in our Ownership and Funding page.
