• Mozet says cumulative Japanese female sign-ups on Jung-o-ui Date reached 47,800 as of September 2026.
  • The figure is about 4.6 times the 10,300 recorded in December 2024.
  • Quarterly gains in 2026 were 2,800, 5,200 and 7,700, according to Seoul Economic Daily's calculations.
  • Rival Enrise launched a Korea-Japan matching feature on Wippy in October 2025.

Mozet, operator of Korean dating app Jung-o-ui Date (Noon Date), said on 27 October that cumulative Japanese female sign-ups reached 47,800 as of September 2026, Seoul Economic Daily reported on 28 October. Daehan Economic Daily carried the same figures. DII has not seen a Mozet release, and all figures are company-reported and not externally verified.

Cumulative sign-ups are not active members, so the pace matters more than the total.

The DII Take

The reported trajectory is steep, and the 2026 acceleration is the part worth noticing. But a cumulative counter only ever rises. The reported figures include no revenue or active-member count for Japan, and those are the numbers that would show whether the growth translates into a business.

Growth is accelerating, with caveats

Cumulative Japanese female sign-ups reached 47,800 as of September 2026, about 4.6 times the 10,300 recorded in December 2024. Between those points the series ran 13,900 (March 2025), 21,500 (June 2025), 27,300 (September 2025), 32,100 (December 2025), 34,900 (March 2026) and 40,100 (June 2026).

Seoul Economic Daily calculated 2026 quarterly gains of 2,800, 5,200 and 7,700. The 7,700 roughly matches the 7,600 gained in the second quarter of 2025.

Korea-Japan matches averaged about 3,200 a month from January to September 2026, with August at 4,251, according to Mozet's internal figures. The paper notes matches are not relationships or marriages. An earlier Mozet statement put 2025 matches at about 7,200 a month, but on a different basis, so the two cannot be compared.

Enrise is working the same corridor

Enrise's Wippy formally launched a Korea-Japan matching feature in October 2025, and more than 20,000 Korean and Japanese users combined pre-registered within a week, per Seoul Economic Daily. Enrise reported 2025 consolidated operating profit of 1.82 billion won, up 231% year on year. The feature's contribution is unconfirmed.

Mozet has added Japanese translation across the service and real-time chat translation. An official at Jung-o-ui Date said, as translated by Seoul Economic Daily: 'We plan to keep improving the service environment so that users in both countries can communicate more easily and form new connections, beyond the constraints of language and distance.' Watch for any disclosure of active Japanese members or paying conversion.

  • Mozet's 47,800 Japanese female sign-ups are cumulative and company-reported, so they say little about retention or revenue.
  • Mozet and Enrise both now court Korea-Japan matching, making translation and cross-border features a point of competition.
  • Operators should look for active-member and payer data from Mozet before reading the figure as commercial traction.
