• Kelleher International announced on 4 November 2026 that Jennifer Wills, previously Co-CEO and President, is now sole CEO.
  • Wills was promoted to Co-CEO alongside John Berg on 14 May 2026, about six months earlier.
  • The release does not mention Berg or say what happens to his role.
  • Kelleher plans a matchmaking intelligence platform, portable verified client identity and new membership offerings in the first half of 2027.

Kelleher International, the San Francisco luxury matchmaking firm, said in a PR Newswire release on 4 November that Jennifer Wills, previously Co-CEO and President, is now its sole chief executive. Her remit covers running the business day to day, overseeing the global team and setting strategic direction as the company marks its 40th anniversary.

It is the third leadership structure in about 18 months. According to Kelleher's May 2025 release, John Berg became sole CEO after sharing the role with co-founder Amber Kelleher. On 14 May 2026 the company promoted Wills to Co-CEO to lead alongside him. Wills now holds the CEO title alone.

The DII Take

Wills joined in September 2016, so this reads as a continuity appointment rather than an outside hire. That is sensible for a firm selling discretion and trust to ultra-high-net-worth clients. But the release offers no reason for the change and no quote from Wills, and a business that prizes stability has now changed its CEO structure twice in 18 months. Clients and staff will want that explained.

A 2027 technology plan comes with the title

The release says Kelleher plans to introduce three things in the first half of 2027: a matchmaking intelligence platform intended to organise decades of relationship insights and support its matchmakers, portable verified client identity, and new membership offerings that widen access to its global network. Local business site citybiz reported that the technology is meant to complement personal introductions and discretion rather than automated matching alone.

The positioning is consistent. Kelleher describes its service as entirely human-led and curated, operating in more than 18 cities, and says everyone in an introduction is interviewed, has their identity verified, is background-checked and is met in person beforehand. Its May 2026 release also claimed record results and growing investment in a database of more than 100,000 vetted participants. Both are the company's own claims. The new release gives no financial figures, pricing or client numbers.

Jill Kelleher, the company's founder, said in the release: 'I have complete confidence in her ability to carry our legacy forward while leading Kelleher into an exciting new chapter.'

The release does not mention co-CEO John Berg or say what happens to his role.

What to watch

The first question is Berg. DII has not been able to confirm his status, and the company's team page recently still listed him as Co-CEO. The second is delivery on the first-half 2027 launches. Elsewhere in the industry, co-CEO structures are in the news too: DII has covered Bumble's plan to install Ithaca's founders as co-CEOs.

  • Kelleher International has moved to a single chief executive, Jennifer Wills, while giving no public reason and no account of co-CEO John Berg's role.
  • The first-half 2027 launch of a matchmaking intelligence platform and portable verified identity is the first concrete test of her strategy.
  • Operators watching the luxury segment should note that all claims here come from Kelleher's own releases, with no independent financial data.
