    The likely outcome is market consolidation. Smaller platforms will either invest heavily to meet compliance requirements and sacrifice growth spending, or they'll accept higher violation rates and risk government enforcement. Well-resourced global platforms gain a regulatory moat that makes it harder for regional competitors to scale.

    Dating apps serving the Indian market have less than two weeks until the amendments take effect. The platforms that survive will be those that can automate content decisions fast enough to meet government timelines whilst maintaining profile quality high enough to keep users swiping. That's not a moderation challenge. It's a product viability test.
