About Say Allo
Say Allo is a dating app that uses AI compatibility matching and a video-first approach. Its website carries the tagline AI-Powered Compatibility, Better Matches, Better Chemistry, and the copyright line names Unpack'd Technologies. Unpack'd also operates DiHola, a Latino-focused dating app.
Say Allo was founded by Zackary Lewis, a former US Marine who also founded Liquid Compass, a streaming delivery network for the audio entertainment industry. In a July 2019 Global Dating Insights interview he described an app aimed at mature singles in their 30s to 50s, with AI matching, facial recognition for safety and in-app video dating, co-developed with psychologist Dr Brian Shaw, and a seed round of about $1 million. Lewis is now Unpack'd's chief executive.
In February 2026 HubPeople, a provider of white-label dating infrastructure, announced that Say Allo and DiHola had been migrated onto its Affinity platform. HubPeople said the move covered hundreds of thousands of users and their media assets across the two apps, and included updates to the mobile apps and new web access. Lewis said Unpack'd chose HubPeople over other platform partners for its dating-category expertise. The platform is managed by HubPeople, so Unpack'd can focus on its users and community. The coverage does not give a user figure for Say Allo alone.
