Vinay Kuruvila is chief technology officer of Tinder, the dating app owned by Match Group. According to his biography on the AI Infra Summit 2026 speaker page, he leads technology, AI and product innovation across the platform and also serves as general manager of Match Group Core, which provides AI capabilities and shared services across Match Group's brands. His appointment as Tinder CTO was reported by Global Dating Insights on 22 September 2025.
His biography says he has nearly two decades of engineering and product leadership. Before Tinder he was CTO of brightwheel, an early-education platform, and led the engineering organisation behind Venmo's customer-facing products during a period that saw revenue double to more than $950 million. He began his career at Amazon, where he joined Amazon Photos at the idea stage and helped scale it into a global business.
