Sybil Shiddell is Gleeden's Country Manager for India. Gleeden is a dating app founded in France in 2009, which reported just over 12 million users worldwide in early 2025, with India its second-largest market after France.
In January 2025 she said Gleeden had reached 3 million users in India, with user growth of 270% on the previous year and a 128% rise in female registrations, as the company launched a comedy club event series to reach Indian audiences. In an interview published later that month she described the India operation as a team of about ten people without a physical office. Gleeden launched officially in India in 2018, after users began signing up in 2017.
In June 2026 Dating Industry Insights quoted her on AI and relationship advice in India, where she said AI could help users understand their feelings and gain confidence in personal matters, particularly as discretion becomes more important.
