Biography
Linda Kim is a technology and consumer-products executive who joined Hyperconnect, the Seoul-based social discovery and video technology company behind Azar and Hakuna, as chief operating officer from 3 October 2022. Match Group, which acquired Hyperconnect in 2021, announced the appointment and said she would oversee business operations, with a focus on growth and on integrating Hyperconnect's technology across Match Group brands.
Before Hyperconnect she was chief operating officer and a founding member at HAUS LABS by Lady Gaga, where Match Group's announcement says she helped raise Series A funding and ran direct-to-consumer and Amazon sales channels. She had also held leading roles at The Honest Company, Zynga, Apple and Nokia. She holds a bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
In July 2023 Match Group announced that she would succeed Hyperconnect co-founder Sam Ahn as CEO from 1 October 2023, while Ahn moved to a new role as Chief Innovation Officer of Match Group Asia. In June 2026 Dating Industry Insights reported that Kim had resigned as CEO of Hyperconnect, announcing the move on LinkedIn. Match Group had not named a replacement at the time of that report.
