Earlier he was senior vice president of product at Dataminr and Fuze, and spent a decade at Microsoft working on product development and strategy for Office and Outlook. In January 2026, Global Dating Insights reported his departure after about a year in the role. Whitney Wolfe Herd, who returned as Bumble CEO in March 2025, and Affronti agreed that Product, Engineering and Design should be centralised under one leader. Vivek Sagi, who had led Engineering and Design, now oversees the combined product organisation.
