- • BuiltWith lists 727 live sites on the infrastructure; the highest-traffic domains are adult and hookup brands.
- • Ten adult brands were verified running on HubPeople CDNs and white-label billing URLs on 22 July 2026.
- • Revenue share to operators runs up to 65 per cent, with several sites advertising discreet billing descriptors.
- • Shared MCC 7273 underwriting means the whole dating category absorbs the risk profile of adult inventory.

[HubPeople](/companies/hubpeople), the Isle of Man [white-label dating](/glossary/white-label-dating) technology provider led by chief executive [Michael O'Sullivan](/people/michael-osullivan), promotes a roster of wholesome niche brands on its corporate website. A technical review of the company's public network footprint, first published by [High Intent Media](https://highintentmediagroup.com/news/editorials/hubpeople-sites-behind-the-platform), finds the same infrastructure also powers a substantial network of adult and hookup sites that appear nowhere in that showcase.

## What the platform powers

Founded in 2005, HubPeople is one of the largest white-label dating technology providers in the industry. It supplies software, hosting and billing infrastructure to third-party dating brands under a dating-as-a-service model, and states that its platform powers more than 4,000 live brands drawing on a shared database of over 100 million members.

On its corporate site, the company highlights a specific set of niche services: Christian Love Finder, Widowed Life, Live Vegan Date Vegan, Disabled Love Dates and Grounded, a service aimed at people in rural areas. The positioning is deliberately gentle, values-led and mainstream.

Data from BuiltWith, which indexes web technologies, lists 727 live sites currently detected on HubPeople's technical infrastructure, 182 of which are flagged as domain redirects. Sorted by BuiltWith's traffic and expenditure metrics, the highest-ranked brands on the platform are adult and hookup sites. None of the niche brands featured on HubPeople's homepage appear among its highest-traffic indexed domains.

## Ten domains verified on the same infrastructure

Ten adult brands were individually verified as running on HubPeople's stack on 22 July 2026, on two technical parameters: images served directly from HubPeople content delivery networks (hub-cdn.com and hubpeople.com subdomains), and login, billing and terms pages routed through the company's standardised white-label URL architecture.

The verified sample covers Sexandtheuk.com, JustBangMe.com, TheAdultHub.com, ShagDating.com, Shush.dating, BritishGrannies.co.uk, DirtyDoggersPlace.com, MeetaMILF.club, LetsMeetup.com and BDSM-Secrets.com. Their landing pages carry explicit acquisition copy. JustBangMe invites visitors to "join for free TODAY and get laid TONIGHT". DirtyMatures tells visitors its members are "after one thing, SEX! Hard and Fast! No Dating, just raw action."

The ten represent a sample rather than the full extent of the third-party network operating on the platform.

## Revenue share, discreet billing and shared templates

HubPeople advertises revenue-share terms of up to 65 per cent to external brand operators, retaining the balance of subscription payments processed through its billing gateways. Across the adult brands reviewed, registration and profile browsing are free, while messaging requires a paid upgrade, the standard conversion mechanic of the segment.

Several of the sites advertise discreet billing. JustBangMe states that its "site name won't show on your bank/credit card statement, a more discreet name will show instead". DirtyMatures carries an equivalent notice.

Interface reuse across the network is visible. ShagDating and Shush share identical page layouts, matching FAQ documentation and identical membership counters of roughly 40 million members. BDSM-Secrets reuses interface assets and icon files found elsewhere on the network, and DirtyMatures displays promotional banners pointing at DirtyDoggersPlace, another domain on the same platform.

## Review records and the company's response

Trustpilot and Ripoff Report carry user-submitted complaints about several adult brands hosted on the platform, mostly alleging automated profile interactions, recurring charges and difficulty cancelling subscriptions. These are consumer reviews, not regulatory or judicial findings.

HubPeople disputes the characterisation, stating publicly that it "never takes unauthorised payments" and that billing disputes generally stem from user misunderstanding of recurring membership terms. Asked for comment before publication of the original review, O'Sullivan responded: "Your article seems timed to silence critics of your association with Ross Williams and the sordid handling of the Venntro affair."

## Why the merchant category matters

Card networks classify online dating under a shared high-risk merchant category code, MCC 7273. Acquiring banks underwrite against that shared classification, so processing fees, rolling reserves and account approvals across the whole category are shaped in part by sector-wide chargeback ratios and billing disputes.

That is the structural point for operators. Software providers and consumer apps with no adult inventory of their own still sit inside underwriting parameters influenced by the risk profile of the wider category. HubPeople is one of several infrastructure providers hosting adult and hookup brands inside the white-label ecosystem, and the economics of that model are absorbed collectively.

## The governance question

O'Sullivan holds a seat on the board of the [Online Dating and Discovery Association](https://theodda.org/), the industry's self-regulatory trade body, and in July 2026 published a guide to building dating software businesses. The review does not allege illegality. It documents a gap between what a major infrastructure provider presents publicly and what its infrastructure demonstrably serves, at a moment when the sector is arguing for the credibility of self-regulation.
